How to Make a Thread Tracker
So what the hell is a thread tracker anyway? A thread list is an easy way to compile all of the threads a character is involved without having to go searching for them. You can keep track of what threads are open, private, completed, etc. How you maintain your thread list is up to you. Once you make one, your thread list will be linked to the section of the same name located in your mini-profile.
Here's the template for a very basic thread tracker. You can add anything you want, but these fields are required.
[b]Thread List[/b]: [The main point of a tracker. A list of links to threads your character is involved in.]
[b]Relationships[/b]: [Shortly describe the important relationships your character has, maybe even with links to other characters he/she knows. Split it into lovers, rivals, friends, family, etc.]
[b]Character Developments[/b]: [What things has your character been through so far in Gaia's Wake?]Other things your thread tracker can include:
- A mini-bio: Give players a little snippet of your character.
- Goals: What is your character trying to do right now? Is there someone he/she is looking for? Does he/she just want to survive or are there more meaningful plans in mind?
- Locations: Where has your character been and what did he/she do there? Make any friends or enemies? Relate this back to the relationship section.
- Images: Made any graphics for your character? Include them here!
- Potential plots: Do you have any story arcs your character is involved in? Maybe you're looking for other players to get involved?
- Tell other players they can post in your tracker, offering to roleplay or set up a story arc!
