OOC/IC Accounts
Every new player should register initially with their OOC account. From then on, the actual characters used by the player will have their own separate accounts. All accounts are easily linked to a master e-mail global account by Proboards. IC Character accounts will typically be named according to the chosen alias of the character, unless the character has chosen to go by their original name. To switch between accounts without logging out, click the icon in the bottom right of your screen ()
General Kindness
Try to treat everyone with an equal level of respect and make strides to view the opinions, beliefs, and values of others as equal. We hope to house a variety of different players whose religious beliefs, lifestyle choices, opinions on current/major events, race, gender, form of expression, or identity should never meet opposition, aside from situations involving a degree of friendly curiosity. Similarly, players looking to play the victim and openly inviting another to challenge their beliefs will be dealt with accordingly.
RPG Rating
Most forums have a level of language, sexual content, and violence that they allow. By MPAA standards, Minute Chances is a PG-13 board, in order to follow ToS. We are to be considered a mild board meant to emulate real life as clearly as possible; the fantasy aspects only serve to stimulate the writer and provide a more interesting and free-form environment to build upon. God-Modding
No player is allowed to directly harm or make permanent change to another's character without their permission first. Even if an obvious cause-and-effect chain were to result in action that would alter a character, it will not occur without the character's player approving of it. Try to work this out with the other player if at all possible, in PMs.
Playbys
A playby, a real life person who has been chosen to represent a player's character, are allowed and encourage on Minute Chances, but are still optional. No two players are allowed to use the same playby, and a list of taken playbys can be found here.
Word Count
There is no word count requirement. This doesn't mean members don't often post lengthy replies, but don't feel like you must match them.
