Crafting System
This guide will fill you in on the specifics of using the 'Crafting' skill.
You will also need to have the appropriate rank in the Crafting skill and the materials necessary.
What is Crafting?
Crafting allows your character to create a bunch of different types of equipment. Depending on what rank a character has in the Crafting skill, they can create certain qualities of equipment.
There are 5 types of quality: Crude, Average, Above Average, Master, and Legendary. Each quality tells what stats a character can bestow on a particular piece of equipment; this allows for the player to create whatever kind of equipment they want. The player ultimately decides on the appearance of the equipment, but the quality determines what it can do and what stats are attached to it. Additionally, each quality requires a certain number of materials.
Materials
Crafting requires that you not only pass a Skill Roll, but have the materials necessary.
In crafting, the player chooses the make-up of the equipment, and the quality and rank in crafting choose the statistics for them. So how do we handle what goes into making each piece of equipment?
All equipment is crafted using generic "Components" which are sold in the shop. There are 3 basic component types: A, B, C, D, and E. E is the cheapest, B is the second cheapest, then C, and so on. Different qualities of equipment require a different number of Components.
Crude: 3x Component E
Average: 2x Component E, 1x Component D
Above Average: 2x Component D, 1x Component C
Master: 2x Component C, 1x Component B, and a Quest Material
Legendary: 2x Component B, 1x Component A, and a Quest Material
**QUEST MATERIALS: These materials change depending on the item. A staff member will set up the quest for the material. Once the quest has been completed, the character can craft the equipment. When crafting equipment that requires a quest material, post the Crafting Form as normal, minus the Skill Roll. You will make a Skill Roll after the quest material is acquired.
Crafting: Weapons
Each quality determines the damage range of a weapon. If you recall, each weapon's damage range decides between what two numbers a character can inflict damage on another. In crafting, the qualities give a general range, such as 1-20. When the crafting attempt is made, staff will use dice to decide the damage range of the weapon. For example, if the general range for a certain quality of weapon is 1-20, staff will roll a die to determine the minimum end of the range and another to determine the maximum end of the range. You could end up with a weapon that has a damage of 5-10, 6-15, or even 19-20 (which would be awesome)
Crude Range: 1 - 20
Average Range: 20 - 40
Above Average Range: 40 - 60
Master Range: 60 - 100
Legendary: 100 - 150
Crafting: Body Gear & Shields
Each quality determines the DEF of a piece of body gear or shield. In crafting, the qualities give a general range, such as 1-20. When the crafting attempt is made, staff will use dice to decide the DEF of a piece of body gear or shield.

Skill Roll
Each quality determines the number a character must roll to successfully craft an item.
Your Skill Roll consists of a 100 sided die and your SKI attribute. So, you would click the dice button and enter 100+SKI. It's the same as rolling a Hit Roll or an Evade Roll, you just replace DEX with SKI.
Number of Attempts
Each quality determines how many times per day a character can attempt to craft an item.
First off, in order to craft, you'll need to have a Tracker created. There, you will report any attempts to craft, using the forms provided below, and a staff member will come by, approve the attempt, and give you your equipment's statistics. Please tag the staff member using @ and then their username. For example, to tag me, use @ and then the word 'admin'.
You will also need to have the appropriate rank in the Crafting skill and the materials necessary.
