What are Adoptables/Character Requests?
Both are viable methods of having another player assume the identity of a character you need played.ADOPTABLES
Adoptables are characters you've already created that you want someone else to play.
USUALLY, adoptables are full characters you no longer wish to play, but don't want to kill off or have disappear. Putting them up for adoption allows another player to come along and take up the reigns of your child. (It's a lot less creepy than I make it sound.) Adoptables may also be NPCs you have created that you would either like another member to play. Once the adoption has been made, said character/NPC belongs solely to the adopted and he/she may do so with the character as they wish.
CHARACTER REQUESTS
Character requests are characters you haven't already created that you want someone else to create and play.
Character requests are similar to adoptables except you want the other player to do all the work of creating a profile and playing out that character's life. This character may be a temporary NPC or a legitimate character. However, the requested character is bound to the guidelines and prerequisites that the requester has set for them. Maybe you want your character's twin sister to show up randomly, but don't want to play her? Put up a character request!
*Note: Please be aware that a requested character will by no means be 100% to par with what standards there may have been in mind. The respondent may also, and most likely will, add a measure of his/her own artistic style into the character's development; please be mindful and respect this.
